The details about Season 1 of Multiversus have been revealed recently at EVO 2022. While extensive information about Season 1 wasn’t shared, we did get a look at the snapshot that showcased various additions. The official Multiversus Twitter account shared the snapshot as well.
Multiversus Season 1: Details and Release Date
The new characters that will be added to Multiversus in Season 1 will be Rick and Morty from the TV show of the same name. Not only that, Morty was supposed to join the roster of the game first with Rick joining at a later time during the season. But, now it seems that we will get both of them together. There isn’t any other information regarding if more characters will be added to the game but the text in the photo says ‘ New Characters and More To Come’. So, there is definitely a possibility of more new characters as well.
Also coming in Multiversus Season 1 is a Classic Arcade Mode and a Ranked Mode. The Classic Arcade mode will include co-op support as well. In addition to that, new icons, banners, and variants of characters are also shown. One of the variants shown in the picture interestingly is LeBron James in a Robin costume.
Multiversus is a free-to-play fighting game that comprises characters of all Warner Bros.-owned franchises. Moreover, players will be able to control characters like Batman, Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Tom and Jerry, and many more. The only real-life figure in the game currently is basketball player LeBron James.
Multiversus is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, X|S, and PC in an open beta testing phase. Season 1 was planned to be available on August 9, however, it was pushed back. But the official Twitter account says that an official announcement will be made soon.
