The last NFS game Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered came out a couple of years ago. We’ve been hearing about a new NFS game for quite some time now. There were rumors that the game would be revealed earlier this year but due to some behind-the-scenes issues, it kept getting delayed. The game has been titled ‘Need for Speed Unbound’.

Fans have been desperate to find out about the next entry in one of the biggest racing game franchises. EA has generally been tight-lipped on the matter. However, today we finally have some solid news about the reveal as well as the launch date of the title.

Need For Speed Unbound Release Date Revealed

It seems like we won’t have to wait much further as the reveal is racing our way. Today two of the industry’s well-known insiders dropped news about the Need for Speed Unbound reveal and release.

Earlier today acclaimed leaker The Snitch dropped a cryptic Tweet that included a few mathematical equations. While most were flabbergasted by what it actually means, it was eventually broken down:

The Tweet seemingly translates to Need for Speed Unbound which will be revealed soon. Or that was the guess until Tom Henderson seemingly confirmed it. Tom stated that the current release plane is not confirmed however the reveal is imminent. He further said that the reveal could even take place today or even in a couple of weeks but nonetheless it is coming. Furthermore, the trailer will be around 2-3 minutes long and will feature a soundtrack from American rapper A$AP Rocky.

But the more interesting part is that Tom has seemingly confirmed the release date of the title too. According to him Need For Speed Unbound will release on December 2, 2022.

More about the Game

Some earlier leaks of the game suggested that the gameplay will involve some Anime elements.  Fire, smoke, flames, etc. will all appear from the car as you drift, jump, and crash. Moreover, the game will also have multiplayer elements. In addition, Need for Speed Unbound will be very multiplayer-focused and feature “meetups”. Meetups will allow people to race against one another in different locations around the map. The game will also feature unique maps that can only be found in the NFS franchise.

Need for Speed Unbound is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Currently, we don’t know about its status on older-gen hardware. But we will find out soon enough when the reveal trailer drops.
