New Need for Speed Unbound Trailer Shows Off Its Risky but Rewarding Gameplay

Electronic Arts (EA) has released yet another trailer for the upcoming Need for Speed Unbound recently. This time the 1-minute trailer shows off the police pursuit and betting aspect of Unbound. We are also given a minimal look at the calendar in the game which showcases all the up-and-coming activities including, weekly qualifiers.

In the trailer, we can see that players will be chased by various types of cop cars including Corvettes and Chargers. You’ll also get notified about the number of cops chasing you as well. You will have to earn enough money to enter the weekly qualifiers which will help you to make it to Lakeshore City’s ultimate race, The Grand.

The betting aspect is a new addition to the Need for Speed series as seen in Unbound. Here, you can bet against your rivals for a specific amount of cash. This will be on top of the originally given reward. Not only that, you also have the ability to up the ante. If you are low on cash, these bets will help you earn money faster.

Need for Speed Unbound Details

Unbound is Electronic Arts’ newest addition to the highly regarded Need for Speed series. With Unbound, it seems that EA went for the street racing look that was popular during its heyday with the two Underground games and Most Wanted. Also, with this, Need for Speed seems to embrace street art and graffiti. In addition to that, EA has announced the full list of cars for the game. There will be in total 143 cars in the game.

Earlier this month, we had a look at a short teaser showcasing the unique art style and customization present in the gamer. The most notable was the “Driving Effects’ each with its distinct signature style and animation.

Even before it was officially announced, Need for Speed Unbound had major leaks before. A leak in April showed the map, city, and rough gameplay of Unbound. Moreover, the in-game screenshots were leaked the day before its official reveal as well by a retailer.

Need for Speed Unbound will launch worldwide on December 2 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
