Street Fighter 6 drops in June 2023 around 7 years after the SF5. With all the hype around it, Capcom has revealed new gameplay in the recent PlayStation State of Play. The trailer reveals gameplay for 2 returning characters and a brand-new one. We see them in action as they fight their way through some beautiful settings.

Street Fighter 6 Characters Gameplay

The recent showcase gave us a brand new look at the returning classic characters including Zangief, and Cammy along with a new addition Lily. The gameplay looks really improved from the last game and has some beautiful animations with great moves,

We see Zangief back in action with his classic wrestling moves. The immense-sized man uses some great techniques that will sit well with wrestling fans including inverted atomic drop, Screw Piledriver and finally a finishing special move. Zangief does look like a proper pro wrestler here and we are all for it.

Lily is a brand-new introduction in Street Fighter 6. She is a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe, the same tribe as the iconic T. Lily uses the spirits of nature to fight against her foes. Her fighting style seems really fast-paced and goofy as she even takes photographs of opponents during fights. She even has a hawk to aid her during combat.

Last but not least is the returning Cammy. Cammy is one of the most fan-favorite characters from the Street Fighter universe. She is seen wearing a blue English flag jacket, quite different from her usual green and red attire. She uses some classic moves including Spiral Arrow, Cannon Spike, Super Art Killer Bee Spin, and Hooligan Combination. You can read more about the characters here.

Overall, the new gameplay combined with some great arenas and art style looks dope. The game releases on June 2, 2023, and is currently up for pre-order.
