In the latest wave of announcing new characters for Tekken 8, Bandai Namco has just dropped gameplay for Leroy Smith. Leroy is relatively new to the franchise but became a fav-favorite really quickly. Originally introduced as a DLC character for Tekken 7, Leroy Smith boasts excellent martial arts skills, not to mention his wonderful drip.
Leroy Smith, The Grand Master of Drip is Back in Tekken 8
The latest trailer for Tekken 8 showcases Leroy Smith in all his glory. He is introduced as the ‘Grandmaster of Drip’ and quite rightfully so. His appearance includes white dreadlocks, a large white jacket, and gold jewelry along with a pair of sunglasses. His new look is a bit different from the original but still very reminiscent of it. You can watch the trailer below:
Leroy Smith has a very similar moveset to his Tekken 7 self. He uses a technique called Wing Chun which he mastered over a period of decades. His fists are his major form of talking. Using his fists for all sorts of strong moves, Leroy is one dangerous fighter. He also has a sense of humor as he mocks his enemies during fights. Even then he is a very disciplined and seasoned martial artist.
Leroy Smith looks like a worthy addition to a list of Tekken 8 roster that comprises some amazing legacy characters. Tekken 8 launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
