Payday 3 release date got leaked a few days ago by a reliable leaker. At today’s Xbox Showcase, it was finally revealed that the leak was correct and the title does release in September 2023. Along with the release date Starbreeze Studios have also revealed a gameplay trailer for Payday 3.
Payday 3 Release Date Set for September 21, 2023
Before going into detail about the title, can we just appreciate the amount of content we are getting in September and October? Kicking off with Starfield on September 6, Payday 3, Phantom Liberty, Forza Motorsport, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and leading up to Spider-Man 2, we are going to have a great couple of months. The gameplay opens with the gang on a bank heist creating all sorts of chaos. The gameplay is very reminiscent of the originals but with better mechanics and visuals. Not changing the title much isn’t a bad idea if you come to think of it. It’s actually wise to keep it as close to the original to keep the risks at a minimum.
However, that isn’t to say that the gameplay hasn’t changed at all. It looks much more refined with movement, shooting, and general gameplay looking much more smooth and well thought out. The trailer seems to be everything that the fans of the franchise want, but how exactly it plays out will be seen when it releases.
Payday 3 release on September 21, 2023, with pre-orders now live. It will be available on Xbox X|S and will release on day 1 on Game Pass.
