Persona 5 launched initially on the PlayStation 3 and 4 in 2016. It got a surprisingly positive response from the players and even those who weren’t fans of the JRPG genre. Later a new version called Persona 5 Royal launched with new additional content. Fans have been asking for a Nintendo Switch port since Persona 5 Royal’s launch.
The art and gameplay of Persona 5 are quite reminiscent of other Switch titles. So a port was quite imminent. Atlus Studios finally announced that it would be launching the port in October 2022. While we are still around a week and a half away from the launch, it seems that physical copies have broken the street date and people are playing them right now.
