It seems that the playtest footage of the upcoming Harry Potter sports game Quidditch Champions has leaked. The sports game was announced just last month by Warner Bros. without any specified release date or window. The game is being developed by Unbroken Studios currently. The playtest for the game just started today, May 20th, and it seems after a few hours the gameplay has been leaked by a streamer. So far the streamer has removed all of the streamed content but it has already been picked up by sites like Reddit.
Quidditch Champions Leaked Gameplay
The streamer showcased the flight gameplay as well as the character customization for the game. It seems that players will be able to choose characters like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Draco Malfoy. They also can create their own unique character. In addition to that, they can customize their brooms, broom trails, and goal and victory celebrations. The looks of the game have a cartoonish feel, unlike the more realistic look of Hogwarts Legacy. The flying in the game definitely looks enjoyable and we imagine the controls are also refined for proper maneuvering. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode though it wasn’t shown in one of the streams.
No release date for Quidditch Champions has been announced but it is coming for PC and consoles, though it hasn’t been specified which ones. Though Hogwarts Legacy had a lot of things for players to do, many wanted to play Quidditch and expected that it would be added in a future DLC. But Avalanche Software has said they have no plans for a DLC currently. But Unbroken Studios could finally scratch that Quidd-itch for many Harry Potter fans with Quidditch Champions.
