Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Vector Glare

Operation Vector Glare will finally be implemented into Rainbow Six Siege after being delayed for a week. The launch of the new season was originally scheduled to take place on June 10, but it was pushed back due to issues that occurred on the test server. Vector Glare is the 2nd season of Year 7 of the game.

The game features a new operator, a new deathmatch map, and other important features that enhance the overall player experience. The new season also fixes various other bugs and errors.

Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Vector Glare- The Details

Here’s a rundown on some of the important additions coming with the new season:

  • Operation Vector Glare will see a new operator by the name of Néon “Sens” Ngoma join Team Rainbow. He is defined as a ”brilliant tactician from Belgium with extensive experience in the military, training in mechanics and psychology.”
  • Sens will have the ability to use their  R.O.U. Projector System. After being thrown by Sens, the R.O.U. Projector System rolls and releases small projectors, creating a screen in its path. It’s possible to block many lines of sight simultaneously, even though physical objects can pass through the screen.
  • A new Team Deathmatch map titled Close Quarters has also been added. It will be the first to incorporate movement-based gameplay rather than defensive setups.
  • There is also a shooting range where players will be able to practice and learn about all the weapons in Rainbow Six Siege. There are two lanes: a recoil lane to measure the spread created from the kickback and the damage lane that determines the amount of damage a bullet does.
  • Operator guides are also available that showcase information about the operators, their unique abilities, and gadgets.
  • Privacy mode brings in several features to protect the online identity of players including hiding their nicknames and usernames. The ability to create custom usernames has also been added.
  • The game now features a reputation penalty system as well. It gives a reputation penalty to players who abuse the friendly fire mechanic too often.
