Microsoft’s leaked documents are revealing a ton of stuff the company has planned. Another leaked information is the mention of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. A native version for both the consoles was missing, but it seems there are plans for it after all.
Red Dead Redemption PS5 and Xbox Series Native Version Detected
Now, the leaked document is a pitch to get certain titles on the Game Pass. But what’s really interesting is that it mentions the 9th Gen consoles, which essentially are the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
Technically, you could play RDR2 on PS5 and the Xbox Series consoles but that was through the backwards compatibility. The version we could play was the last-gen edition of the game. The current-gen remasters usually get a lot of extras that are notably missing.
And if the document is to be believed, we can eventually expect a native version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the current-gen consoles. But don’t get your hopes up too high as there has been no official confirmation or even hints of the port. So, it’s better to wait for an official word from either Microsoft or Rockstar games.
