While it didn’t get a remaster, Red Dead Redemption was recently released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation 5 players can access the game through backward compatibility, but what everyone really missed was a 60 FPS mode. However, Rockstar has quietly added 60 FPS to Read Dead Redemption on PS5.

Rockstar Has Quietly Added 60 FPS to Read Dead Redemption

A Twitter user has pointed out that you can now run 60 FPS on Red Dead Redemption on PS5. Unfortunately, we don’t know if it’s the same case for Xbox or not. Rockstar was heavily criticized for the lack of 60 FPS when the title was released so the sudden addition is a welcome move.

RDR at this point is over 13 years old and a lack of smoother settings was a deal breaker for many. This new addition will most definitely change the minds of many gamers. But while RDR now has 60 FPS, what’s still missing is the same for RDR2.

The sequel still lacks a dedicated performance mode on the current-gen consoles. Now, we really hope that one day we randomly update the game, and it has a 60 FPS mode included after that. But maybe that’s too far-fetched? But if Rockstar has done this for RDR who knows they might do the same for RDR2 as well.

After the Red Dead Redemption 60 FPS update, will you play it on your PS5? Let us know in the comments below.
