Ahead of its launch, fans had concerns about whether Remnant 2 will feature a performance mode or be locked at 30 FPS. In a recent Twitter AMA on his profile, Gunfire’s president David Adams confirmed that the title does come with a 60 FPS performance mode for the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

Remnant 2 Includes a 60 FPS Performance Mode

David Adams confirmed that Remnant 2 does come with a 60 FPS option. While he has confirmed the mode for XBS and PS5, there isn’t any mention of the Xbox Series S. It could be that he simply missed it from the Tweet or they’ve skipped it for the lower-tier console altogether. However, it is yet to be confirmed.

Moreover, the performance mode will run the title at 60 FPS, but it won’t be locked. Adams has revealed that there are occasional dips in the 60 FPS, but mostly it is very stable. Performance mode is something that should be a part of every modern title. We have seen titles that didn’t have it failing badly this year.

Additionally, you will also be able to switch off motion blur if you want to. The first Remnant was a very well-received game and we hope Gunfire has replicated the formula with the sequel. Remnant 2 comes out on July 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
