Resident Evil Village: Winters’ Expansion- What We Know

Firstly, the Winters’ Expansion of the game will feature a third-person mode. This will be the first time a Resident Evil game has featured this viewpoint since Resident Evil 6. According to Tsuyoshi Kanda, producer at Capcom, ”players who are yet to experience Resident Evil Village can experience the story in this fresh perspective.”

Secondly, It will feature The Mercenaries Additional Orders. If you’re unfamiliar with this mode, it is essentially an endgame arcade mode that lets you take down enemies as fast as possible. The expansion will add three new playable characters, Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and the fan-favorite Lady Dimitrescu. According to Kanda, ” Each one of them are unique on its own”.

Finally, we have the story expansion titled ”Shadows Of Rose” that will feature Ethan Winters’ daughter Rose as the playable character. The story will take 16 years after the main game. the setup for the story states that Rose is now struggling with terrifying powers. ”In search of a way to break free from her curse, Rose enters the consciousness of the Megamycete. Rose’s journey takes her to a mysterious realm where memories of the past return to create a warped and twisted world of nightmares”. Additionally, the game will also take place from the third-person perspective.
