Ubisoft’s Roller Champions is coming to Steam. A Reddit user has detected some new information. Although the Steam DataBase listing is currently unavailable to the general public, the user has somehow managed to get a hold of the inside information through Ubisoft connect’s database.
Roller Champions came out back in March 2022. It is a fun free-to-play sports game from Ubisoft that puts you into a skating rink and match against other opponents. The game up until now was on the Epic Game Store and Ubisoft’s own Connect app on PC.
Roller Champions on Steam
The Reddit user YoobieRE has uploaded an image on their GitHub account displaying the entire Ubisoft Connect database page for the Roller Champions. But the more curious part isn’t about this specific game releasing on Steam, it is about Ubisoft games finally coming to Steam.
Ubisoft Games are Heading to Steam
With Rollers Champions incoming to Steam, it seems like Ubisoft is finally preparing to launch its games on Steam. For now, if you want to play a Ubisoft game, your best bet is to go to Ubisoft Connect or Epic Store. But considering most gamers prefer Steam, this has always been a hassle. But through these recent listings, Ubisoft fans are finally getting their wish.
The same user, YoobieRE previously reported about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla coming over to Steam. In a similar fashion, they found the Steam version listed on the Ubi Connect database. While there have been no official announcements from Ubisoft, it seems only a matter of time before that happens.
However, it is currently unknown whether you’ll still need to connect to Ubisoft Connect even when you start the game from Steam. That is really annoying to do and we certainly hope that isn’t the case. Ubisoft has tons of content planned for the future. They have an Avatar game incoming and multiple Assassin’s Creed games as well. So, this would be a win for as well as Ubisoft from a business perspective.
With the GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition also rumored to be coming to Steam, it seems like the platform is getting a lot of content which is always great for gamers. But let’s see when Ubisoft finally decides to launch its titles on Steam. So, till then stay tuned.
