Reports about Blizzard’s unannounced survival game have been circulating for a long time now. The game has reportedly been in development since 2017 and even today we hardly know anything. However, Jez Corden in the recent The Xbox Two Podcast revealed that the game will be titled ‘Odyssey’ and it’s going to be multiplatform.
Blizzard’s Announced Survival Game Could be Multiplatform
Talking to Rand al Thor 19, Jez revealed that he’s pretty much sure that the game is going to be called ‘Odyssey’. However, he wasn’t sure if it was a codename but most chances are that it is the actual title. You can watch the full episode below:
Jez states:
it’s so close to being completed in a multiplatform context that it doesn’t make any sense to pull it, but I could be completely wrong. From what I’ve seen it’s not gonna be super graphically intensive, it has stylized art cartoony sort of Overwatchy. What I saw is very very early footage and kinda gave me the impression that it’s gonna be the stylized fairy tale kind of art.
While Jez does state that Blizzard’s unannounced survival game could be multiplatform, he specifically says he could be wrong. No sources have revealed this to him, it’s just his thoughts. Activision Blizzard is very likely to be a part of Microsoft, therefore they would want the game’s exclusivity, but at this point in time it seems the multiplatform availability will prevail.
However, it must be noted that all of this is completely speculative at this point. The source clearly reveals that they could be wrong, so it’s better to wait for something official.
