Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice came out in 2017 and received a really positive reception from audiences and critics alike. The game was visually stunning and felt way ahead of its time. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was revealed back in 2019 and somehow the developers made it even more visually gorgeous. While a specific release date for the title hasn’t been announced, a new Game Pass ad suggests a 2023 release window for Hellblade 2.
Game Pass Ad Suggests HellBlade 2 Might get a 2023 Release Window
Various speculations have been going on about whether the title will launch this year or the next, but a new Game Pass ad makes us believe Hellblade 2 might actually release this year. The ad doesn’t guarantee anything, however, all the titles included in it have either come out or are slated for 2023. So, if Hellblade 2 isn’t releasing this year it makes it the odd one out. You can watch the advertisement below:
Since the first Hellblade, a lot has changed at Ninja Theory. It was acquired by Microsoft and the first title was added to the game pass. Similarly, Hellblade 2 will also be a day 1 game pass title and it is being developed in Unreal Engine 5. In 2021, we were feasted with the stunning gameplay from Hellblade 2. However, since then the studio has been rather quiet about it.
The ad as said earlier doesn’t prove anything so take this news with a grain of salt. We really do wish that it comes out this year but the final answer sits with the developers. So, we’ll have to wait for an official word on the matter.
