Persona by ATLUS is one of the most popular JRPG series in the genre. The last mainline title came in the form of Persona 5. Fans have been waiting for a sequel for quite some time now. Although ATLUS has revealed that they are working on a new mainline game they haven’t officially announced it as Persona 6. Despite not even being officially revealed, Persona 6 has reportedly been internally delayed.

Persona 6 Release Has Reportedly Been Delayed

ATLUS hasn’t officially revealed anything on Persona 6, except that it’s in development. Although they did state that they will try to surpass Persona 5 through the sequel. But that’s about all we know so far. A ResetEra user ‘Im A Hero Too’ who previously has a good track record has revealed the information about the internal delay. They stated:

Absolute zero chance 6 releases this year. It was delayed internally just yesterday and there is a rough timeframe but can’t share, sorry. Could be to release remake first or the other game but I’m not privy to that info. If the teaser is at Sony’s next show, I’ll know beforehand and confirm.

The user previously also stated that the showcase had been planned many times but always ends up getting delayed. There were also reports of a summer reveal. But this latest development suggests that the title won’t be coming anytime in 2023. However, when a probable showcase happens is yet to be seen. Also, despite the leaker’s good track record, it is better to take this news with a grain of salt.
