It seems like the problems with the development of STALKER 2 are far from over. Last week the title became a hot topic when Russian hackers threatened to leak tons of game material including plot, cut scenes, and much more. And as the hackers anticipated it seems another delay for the title is on the horizon.

Another Delay for STALKER 2?

In a recent interview, one of the developers stated that the development of STALKER 2 is on hold since the incident. According to the interview the title’s production has been on hold since March 11. The main reason being the Russian language is the only one implemented so far.

According to developers (Translated):

Devleopment is on hold after March 11th. We simply can’t cut Russian language from the game because it’s the only language we implemented in the game so far. They took our access to the game and all it’s materials, we can’t work on it.

Things are going from bad to worse for GSC and STALKER 2. The game has already faced multiple delays due to the unfortunate war going on. GSC is yet to announce an imminent delay but as things currently stand, it’s sooner or later. It’s really disappointing to see how the hackers are using politics to deal with this matter and we hope GSC shines brighter when this all ends.
