Sifu isn’t precisely what you call a blockbuster title, but there’s no denying it’s one of the best games released this year. Initially released on PlayStation and PC, the Fighting and beat ’em up game by Sloclap was very well received by fans of the genre. And now it’s making its way over to the Xbox side of things.

Sifu Launching on Xbox and Steam

Sloclap through an official trailer has revealed that Sifu is launching on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. While the game was already present on PC, it was through the Epic Games Store. Now, along with the Xbox release it is also being launched on Steam in March 2023. However, a solid release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Arenas Mode

The Xbox and Steam launch is coinciding directly with a new mode coming to Sifu titled ‘Arenas’. . Developer Sloclap has stated:

Successfully completing the arenas will progressively unlock a massive new modifiers batch, which doubles the current game’s amount and notably brings alternative moves to the Kung Fu palette of our main character. Completing the new Arenas challenges will also unlock new cheats and exclusive new outfits.

The arenas will be added to the original game as a completely free update on all available platforms.

About Sifu

In Sifu, players take control of the son or daughter of the Sifu (master) of a martial arts school in modern-day China as they seek vengeance against those responsible for their father’s passing. Every time the main character dies, a mystical talisman allows them to be revived, and they age. This helps in gaining access to stronger attacks but losing health. If the player character becomes too old and is killed permanently, players must retry the level from start and at the same age as their prior effort.

Sifu launched on February 8, 2022, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Epic Games. Last month, a Nintendo Switch port was released, and finally in March 2023, Xbox Series X|S and Steam users will be able to dig into the martial arts title as well.
