GameMill Entertainment has finally revealed the release date for Rise of Kong. Set on Skull Island, the game lets you control King Kong as he fights through a world full of different monsters. A new gameplay trailer has also been dropped along with the release date.
Rise of Kong Release Set for October
Skull Island: Rise of Kong is set to release on October 17, 2023. The developers have opted for a weird time to launch the title as October is already full of massive titles. In fact, the title only comes out 3 days before the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
But to its advantage, it will be available on all major platforms including PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can watch the new trailer below:
The title is based on Kong’s vengeance story as he takes revenge for his parents’ death and tries to claim his throne:
Traverse the mysterious island and uncover its secrets across a variety of treacherous environments, discovering the power coursing through its exotic flora and fauna. Conquer waves of primal beasts, defeat unique bosses, and rise above all who stand in Kong’s way to being King!

The graphics aren’t quite close to the modern games, in fact, it does look a bit outdated. But the gameplay in general looks fun, and it’s better to wait till the title officially releases without passing a final verdict.
