Respawn and EA have revealed 9 minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay. The game might have been delayed but the gameplay surely gives fans an idea of what to expect from the upcoming title. The first game was a pleasant surprise and the expectations from this one are high as well. Fans will be glad to see that the gameplay for Jedi: Survivor does look promising.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay Showcases Locations, New Moves, and More
The 9 minutes of gameplay (Via IGN) give us a very good idea of what to expect from the game. It begins after Cal’s ship, The Mantis, crash-lands on a planet called Koboh and he must seek help to repair it. Various locations of Koboh can be seen through the gameplay. The planet looks really dense and is home to various monsters and has been infiltrated by battle droids.
It is also good to see that Cal has retained the moves that he learned in the original game. So, unlike some other games, we won’t have a base-level character. The gameplay also showcases a bunch of new moves which include a force field that slows time, double saber throw, grapple shot, and new defense techniques.
The gameplay also looks much faster along with improved animations for combat and opening boxes. BD-1 also has access to some new features including using him has binoculars. All-in-all the gameplay is very reminiscent of the original while adding new stuff as well.
The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay comes from a pre-release build so animations sometimes feel a bit janky. However, the announced delay was due to the developers scuffing out these minor issues and we hope the game is as good as its predecessor if not better.
