Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s Official Gameplay Revealed During State of Play

The official gameplay of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was revealed during the recent PlayStation State of Play. A 15-minute showcase was presented with showed off various aspects of the game. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will feature co-op as well as provide a single-player experience. The showcase also featured interviews with developers at Rocksteady Studios.

The game is a part of the Arkhamverse created by Rocksteady Studios. It takes place five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. The Suicide Squad composed of supervillains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang is tasked with killing members of the Justice League who are corrupted by the supervillain Brainiac’s powers. It also showed Wonder Woman as the only uncorrupted member of the League as she finds ways to cure the other heroes. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League also will feature iconic actor Kevin Conroy’s last performance as Batman.

By the looks of it, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will focus on being mainly a shooter. The trailer also showed aerial combat and traversal will have a big role to play. It is set in an open world for players to explore. We also got a look at each character’s playstyle as well as abilities in the game. The gear upgrade and customization also is similar to RPG style which is currently all the craze. As players progress they will get access to new armor and weapons for their preferred villain.

The game will require an internet connection to play as it was marketed as a Games As A Service (GaaS) and will feature a Battle Pass system as well. The Battle Pass system will have mainly outfits and classic versions of the villains. The developers have also confirmed that Suicide Squad will receive free post-launch content including new playable characters.
