Supermassive Games is apparently working on a new unannounced game according to a trademark registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The game is titled ‘The Quarry’ at the moment. A logo of the game is also available in the database. The trademark was filed on the 17th of this month which means it’s definitely a new game.

The trademark was spotted by the_marmolade on Twitter.

What Will ‘The Quarry’ Be?

Other than this trademark we don’t have any solid information regarding the game. But we do know that this is a separate game from Supermassive’s The Dark Pictures series. Supermassive has previously filed a bunch of unannounced Dark Pictures games before. They will probably arrive later this year or early 2023. But this comes as a surprise as they will have two different IPs in active development.

The Dark Pictures Anthology

The Dark Pictures Anthology has been well received by fans and critics so it was natural that the series would continue. But with ‘The Quarry’, Supermassive might be heading in a new direction. They already established The Dark Pictures Anthology as a strong interactive drama series. So, they are probably thinking of putting a new twist on this new IP. The studio definitely delivers well-done games so we have to wait and see what they do with ‘The Quarry’.We don’t know when it will be released, but we can expect an announcement this year.
