Bandai Namco’s new Tekken 8 trailer reintroduces Feng Wei. It also announces another closed beta test, so if you missed the last one, now is the time for you. At this point, we have a huge chunk of the Tekken 8 roster. The upgraded character models and rage look awesome and the same is the case with Feng Wei.
Tekken 8 New Trailer Brings Feng Wei and Closed Beta Announcement
Feng Wei’s character design isn’t drastically different from his Tekken 7 self, it is just more detailed. The character was introduced back in Tekken 5 and has appeared in all entries since.
Feng has a lust for power and is a ruthless martial artist. But it seems he has managed to get even stronger for Tekken 8, as we can see Leroy Smith acknowledging that. He was previously defeated by the Wing Chun master in the last game. You can see the trailer here:
The trailer also announces a brand new closed beta. The last one happened in July, and if you missed it you can try the new one. There will be 19 playable characters, 6 playable stages, ranked matches, Tekken fight lounges, and more available with the beta.
Closed Beta Test Schedule
The closed beta will take place between October 20 and October 23. The registrations are now open till October 11th. You can register here. Tekken 8 is set to release on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Here is the complete schedule:
- 11th October at 08:00 a.m. BST – Registration ends.
- 18th October at 08:00 a.m. BST – Selected testers will be notified and provided codes to redeem.
- 20th October at 09:00 a.m. BST – Closed Beta Testing starts.
- 21st October from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. BST – Closed Beta Test downtime for server maintenance.
- 23rd October at 09:00 a.m. BST – Closed Beta Testing ends.
