The Callisto Protocol is all set to launch in about 10 days from now. The game is shaping up to be a fine horror experience from what we’ve seen in the trailers, and we are all for it. Ahead, of the December launch, we have some new information about The Callisto Protocol’s season pass and what comes with it.
The Callisto Protocol Season Pass
The season pass for The Callisto Protocol will be available with the purchase of the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition will cost $20 more than the Day One Edition coming in at $69.99. But it’s worth the upgrade as it contains some really nice additional content.
The Steam Page for the game has shown us details about the season pass. It includes an Outer Way Skin Collection, Contagion Bundle, Riot Bundle, and a story DLC as well.
Outer Way Skin Collection
Outer Way is an underground insurgency that fights against the UJC. You can don their armor if you purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the season pass.
Contagion Bundle
The main focus as we’ve heard from the developers and seen in the trailers is the gore surrounding the game. Character deaths are the main part of it and with the contagion bundle, we get 13 new death animations for the protagonist Jacob. It also includes a new game mode called ‘Contagion’. It features reduced ammo and health drops, a customized difficulty, and permadeath. There are no second chances to escape Black Iron Prison or the horrors lurking beneath the surface of Callisto. The bundle also includes the Watchtower Skin Collection.
Riot Bundle
The Riot Bundle will also focus on new death animations but this time for the enemies. There will be 12 new animations to help you unleash all the gore as you annihilate the monsters. This mode also throws you into an entirely undiscovered area of Blackgate prison from the main storyline. You can gather credits and upgrade your weapons as you face ferocious enemies and battle your way through. This bundle also comes with the Engineer Skin Collection.
Story DLC
Not much has been revealed about what the DLC offers apart from it being a direct part of the story. And guessing might to probable spoilers so we should probably drop the topic. But the season pass owners will also have access to a story DLC apart from the main storyline.
That is everything you get if you decide to get the Digital Deluxe Edition for The Callisto Protocol. Though it does cost more the included story DLC, skin bundles and animation in our opinion make it worth spending. The Callisto Protocol launches on December 2, 2022, and we can’t wait to jump into the dead moon of Jupiter and discover its terrifying secrets. It can be pre-ordered on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.
