Earlier this year reports about a possible The Last of Us 2 remastered appeared. According to the series composer, a new version of the game was reportedly being made. Now, a new update from a Naughty Dog employee has emerged further strengthening the earlier reports.
Naughty Dog Employee Might Have Leaked The Last of Us 2 Remastered
TLOU2 was released back in 2020 for the PlayStation 4. While you can play the title on PS5 through the backwards compatibility a native version is still missing. That however might not be for very long as we now have solid proof that a remaster could be in the works.
A Lead Outsource Artist for Naughty Dog has updated their LinkedIn that they are overseeing the production of The Last of Us 2 Remastered. As this information isn’t official, we might see it getting removed soon. But this gives us a definitive hint that a PS5 native TLOU2 is in the works.
This could also mean that we might be getting an official reveal real soon. It’s been almost 3 years since the title came out and it is about time we get the remaster. TLOU2 to date holds up against most of today’s titles but the remaster could add to it. There were also reports that it might be like a director’s cut with more interactions and story details. But let’s wait and hope we get an official confirmation soon.
