The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is easily the most anticipated Nintendo Switch game for the year. While the sequel is still a few months away, the official Nintendo site has hinted at an imminent Zelda TOTK DLC already. It should be noted that this information hasn’t been announced by Nintendo itself so far.

Zelda TOTK DLC Spotted On Official Nintendo Web Page

If you read through the main description of the official web page you won’t find any mention of a DLC. However, if you scroll down the page towards the end, it reads: ‘Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately.‘ This indicates that a DLC is on its way along with the title.

The DLC should not come as a surprise as Nintendo is known to pack a few of those after the launch. Previously, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also received a major paid expansion that saw a lot of new content being added. TOTK is also expected to follow suit. Also, adding DLCs has been a trend with major Nintendo releases.

Nintendo revealed that TOTK will be priced at a hefty 70$, following other major releases. However, for a console that is now 6 years old and the hardware has faced the test of time, this is a lot for many gamers. That isn’t to say the Switch is not popular anymore, in fact in many parts of the world it continues to dominate sales. But, the performance issues on recent titles have raised a question of how well will TOTK play. And now you’ll have to pay more for the Zelda TOTK DLC as well.

Will you be buying Zelda TOTK and will you be interested in the DLC too? Let us know in the comments down below.
