Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy has officially been announced by developer Frozenbyte. Published by THQ Nordic, the game is set for release this summer, although a specific date hasn’t been announced yet. A trailer was accompanied by the announcement which showed the amazing game world.

In Trine 5, Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight are on their most action-packed journey yet. With their reputation tarnished, loved ones in danger as well as their magical powers at stake, they must reunite and push back the Clockwork Army and bring peace to the land. The game will feature visually appealing 2.5D landscapes which are said to be the best in the series. It will also feature a lot of levels, puzzles, and encounters than previous entries.

The game will support single-player as well as up to 4-player local and online co-op. The puzzle difficulty system has also been upgraded including adapting to the number of players facing them. Accessibility and replayability options are also present through this adaptive difficulty system. The combat has also been improved with a character-specific skill quest system present as well as difficult boss encounters. The skill quest system will help in trying out different playstyles that will be beneficial in a variety of combat situations.
