Ubisoft Creative Director Hints at More Star Wars News in 2023

We might be getting more news of Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars game in 2023 judging by one of the developer’s tweets. Julian Gerighty, the creative director at Ubisoft Malmo for the game posted a tweet wishing a Happy New Year to all and said that 2023 will be significant for the Star Wars game. He also posted a promotional image of the Star Wars game as well.

Ever since it was announced, there has been essentially no news of the Star Wars game by Ubisoft. But, this tweet seems to imply that more information about the game will be revealed soon enough.

The new Star Wars game by Ubisoft was officially announced back in January 2021. The game was a partnership with Lucasfilms and it would be an open-world game set in the Star Wars universe. The development is being led by Massive Entertainment, one of Ubisoft’s key studios based in Sweden. Massive Entertainment previously worked on notable games including The Division and its sequel.

Massive Entertainment will likely push the engine to its limits to bring out its absolute best. Massive is also hiring for the Star Wars game based on the job listings on their website. So, it looks like the development of the game is in full flow. Massive is also working on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora currently which is expected to release in 2023.
