Seeds have been a part of Minecraft since the alpha days. And with them, we have been able to experience Minecraft like never before. Some seeds give us a breathtaking view, while others give us a massive headstart to the game. But what type of unique seeds does 1.17 have to offer? Stay tuned to find out.

What exactly are seeds?

Before I go and show you some seeds that will blow your mind, I’d like to define what seeds are! Minecraft seeds are strings of numbers that determine what type of a world you will spawn in. These strings of numbers will tell the location and type of structures, and biomes the game should generate, and how it will look like.

Cool, but how do you use them? Well, if you’d like to try out any of the below-mentioned seeds, you should do the following:

Copy the Seed

So you found a seed that you’d like to try out! Well, then just copy the numbers (including the minus) and launch Minecraft.

Create a New World

Once in the main menu, go and create a brand new world. Start by filling out your world settings (The name, game mode, etc.). Then on the bottom right corner, you should see Advanced World Options. Click it, and you should see a black box. Now all you have to do is paste (CTRL+V) the seed, and you’re done.

Ocean Monument with an Amethyst Geode

One of the significant features of Minecraft 1.17 is the Amethyst crystal. This is used to craft spyglass and tinted glasses. These crystals can be found in Amethyst Geodes. But with the introduction of this structure, it could spawn in some unusual places.

And in this Minecraft seed, the geode spawned on top of an Ocean Monument. It’s a weird surprise, but a welcome one!

But what makes it impressive is the shipwreck’s placement. It looks like this ship was actually meant to be there as it’s docked.

P.S If you put the same seed to 1.16, then the shipwreck placement is even better!

The Speedrun Seed

Speedrunning has recently blown up in popularity as more people test out their skills. But it’s hard to do, and you need to be lucky that you get the resources fast enough. Well, not with this seed. As you can see from this screenshot, it has everything a speedrunner needs.

You spawn in a village with a blacksmith that has 17 obsidian in the chest and a house with 4 beds needed to kill the ender dragon. Plus, there’s a ruined portal right next to the village. What more can you ask?

So use the seed above and start practicing. Just don’t post this as a speedrunning attempt as it’s considered cheating.

Mushroom Island With a Woodland Mansion

This might just be the best Minecraft seed in this article! Not only will you literally spawn right next to the Woodland Mansion, but you also get to enjoy many other benefits!

Near the area, you’ll find one of the rarest biomes in-game called “Mushroom Fields”. Additionally, there’s a taiga village, and a beached shipwreck waiting for you! So if you want a headstart, this seed is for you!

Hill Taiga Village

While the enormous mountains are yet to come, the current world generation can also create some jaw-dropping hills. In this seed, we see quite a sight. Near spawn lies a very steep and tall hill with two waterfalls and lava pouring down. But that’s not the best thing. On top of the mountain, there is also a tiny village. An impressive seed indeed!

By looking at the picture, you might already understand why this lake is, well, “suspicious.” The lake resembles the character in Among Us. But aside from this unique lake, there’s also a village close by with plenty of food and chests.

The desert village is on a shore with extreme hills in the background that has a lavafall flowing into the river. Oh, and if you’re looking to create nether roads, then you’ll find some ice spikes on the river.

Want to challenge yourself? Well, why not try this seed. In this seed, you’ll spawn on a decently sized island that has no trees. And when you look into the distance, there is only one island with a few trees.

And as you continue your survival, you’ll find an Ocean Monument between three islands.

Have you ever wanted to build a massive city with temples in the desert? If so, then this seed is just for you. You’ll spawn in a plains biome that is surrounded by hundreds of blocks of sand.

Desert Village near a Woodland Mansion

Totems of Undying are great to have on your survival world as they can save you from dying. But getting one is quite hard as the only way to get them is either by surviving a raid or finding a rare structure called “Woodland Mansion.”

But with this seed, it’s going to be easier than before. While you might not spawn in the coordinates (0, 0), the numbers are easy to memorize. So once you’ve geared up, you can journey your way to the centre of the Minecraft world and then fight against evokers in the woodland mansion. 

There’s also a desert village with a Desert temple right next to it, so you can set your spawn there.

But don’t go too far! In the area of this Pillager outpost, there is a shipwreck that has lots of valuables inside. These include gold, iron, emeralds, and even a diamond. So once you’re geared up, you can go and claim the treasure.

Bonus: Snowy Mountains Near Mushroom Fields

As a bonus for reading all the way here, I’d like to give you a bonus seed. This seed is unique as it’s not really a 1.17 seed. Instead, it’s a 1.18 Experimental Snapshot seed (For more info, you can check out this article here). 

In this seed, if you go to coordinates X: 200 Z: -200, you can see quite a beautiful sight. Not only will you find a mushroom island, but you’ll also find the beautiful mountains coming to 1.18. The tall peak is filled with snow, powdered snow, and ice blocks.
