As part of Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy, Sea of Thieves and a few other games are coming to Playstation consoles and the Nintendo Switch. It’s headed to the PS5 in April 2024, and is now available for pre-purchase. With the store page going live, we finally have a few more details about each edition, including the Sea of Thieves pre-order bonus for PlayStation 5.
Sea of Thieves PlayStation 5 Pre-Order Bonus
If you pre-order Sea of Thieves on the PlayStation 5, you’ll receive the Ruby Viper Weapon Set, a Scarlet Storm Parakeet, Parakeet Kraken Outfit, Parakeet Sea Dog Outfit, and closed Beta access ahead of launch.
Cosmetics are a big part of Sea of Thieves, whether it’s weapons or your pets. The pre-order bonus content has a good mix for both, including the Scarlet Storm Parakeet, which I believe is new content entirely.
In addition, you’ll receive access to their closed beta, which will take place between April 12th–15th. Players who take part in this can earn the Dauntless Adventurer Title and Dauntless Adventurer Sails. Overall, it’s a neat little package of goodies and should provide some visual variety to players during their early hours.
Pre-Order Sea of Thieves for PS5
You can now pre-order the game for the PS5 over at the PlayStation Store. The Standard Edition costs $40, but there are two more editions up for pre-purchase.
Sea of Thieves Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition costs $50 and includes the following additional content.
- Closed Beta access ahead of launch
- Exclusive Pre-Order Weapons & Pet
- Ocean Crawler cosmetics: Cutlass, Pistol, Shovel, Hat, Jacket, Dress, Trousers and Hook
- Collector’s Thunderous Fury ship items

Sea of Thieves Premium Edition
The Premium Edition costs $60 and includes the following additional content.
- Closed Beta access ahead of launch

- Dark Warsmith Ship Set / Costume
- Season 12 Plunder Pass
- 5-Days Early Access
- Diabolical Dog Pet
