Fall Guys and Among Us are 2 names that people who were forced to adapt to the 2020 Pandemic are not going to forget any time soon. Both games were colossal one-hit wonders right out the door and became viral sensations for the time they lasted. Both games still hold a very loyal and committed fan base, but it seems Fall Guys could be teasing a surprise announcement on Monday, 16th of May.

Fall Guys has a big announcement for fans

Fall Guys is a game that was released at the near end of 2020 and was prominently a PS+ title for August 2020. This helped skyrocket the success and popularity of the game immensely to stardom as it also had a PC release.

While the developers have confirmed that an Xbox and Nintendo Switch version is being worked on, the news on Monday could potentially be the game going free to play and announcing the new versions as well.

It’s worth mentioning that Mediatonic, the developers of the game, was acquired by Epic Games. A good majority of Epic Games portfolio’s most successful games are all free to play games such as Rocket League and Fortnite, and while Fall Guys is still doing relatively well on Steam with nearly 7000 daily players, the next logical choice for the game would be to go free to play with cross-platform play too.

This new move could also be hinted at by the release of a new version of the game on PlayStation consoles which retires the first version of the game that was released back in 2020.

While many fans are hoping that the game sees more platforms and does go free to play, Fall Guys is easily a game that many fans are hoping to make a viral comeback by becoming free to play or changing how the game is played.
