It seems that an early link for Madden NFL 23 just went live on Xbox Canada/UK, confirming that Madden NFL 23 will be a Day One Xbox Game Pass title, and fans won’t have to wait 6 months for it to come to EA Play like they had to with Madden NFL 21 and Madden NFL 22. This is a big change for the series and fans are rejoicing.
Madden NFL 23 on Xbox Game Pass – A Game Changer
UPDATE: An EA Spokesperson told GameSpot that the banner was a mistake. Madden 23 is NOT coming to Game Pass.
Madden NFL 23 is the annual American Football franchise that is comparable to FIFA for the rest of the world but targeted toward Americans and fans of the sport. While EA Play is a part of Xbox Game Pass, fans had to wait 6-7 months for the previous games to make their way to the program via EA Play, this time some early advertising on the Xbox UK and Canada website has revealed that Madden NFL 23 is going to be a Day One Game Pass title.
The banner image at the front of both websites confirms the information, and while an official announcement is still not there yet, this is more or less confirmation, sans a press release.
Clicking on the banner takes you to the store page and does not mention the title being on Game Pass, but not many pre-release titles do this.
Perhaps the official announcement will happen next week during the Xbox Showcase, but otherwise, expect it to go live earlier.
It’s worth mentioning that this is the first time we are seeing the return of John Madden on the cover of the game after a very long, and this has only further propelled fan excitement for the title.
While an official announcement is still not present yet, we recommend taking this news with a grain of salt, but otherwise, the direct source itself are two regional Xbox pages. This should act as sufficient evidence of confirmation, short of a press release or statement.
