System Shock is an upcoming remake of the classic title of the same name from 1994. Now, it’s being remade by one of the best PC studios in the industry, Nightdive Studios. Unlike their other remaster projects, System Shock is getting the full remake treatment with modern visuals, updated mechanics, and improved enemy AI. We are hopeful that it will come out this year, and the developers have been providing updates on their Kickstarter page. Now, the System Shock Remake System Requirements have been revealed through the Steam page as well.

System Shock Remake Recommended Requirements

If you have played any recent release from Nightdive Studios, you’ll know that they are amazing with optimization. It shouldn’t come as a shock (heh), that this title isn’t very demanding either. These are subject to change, of course, but for now, if you’re aiming to play the game at higher settings, you only something like an i7-3770 paired with a GTX 970.
The one thing I do see definitely changing is the storage requirement. Most modern titles need way more than just 2 GB so we might see that increase.
System Shock Remake Demo
You can download, and check the demo for yourself directly from Steam. It hasn’t been taken down as of writing, and we don’t expect it to either. It should also give you a good idea of what performance you’re getting.
Additionally, if you pre-order the remake, you’ll get System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition for free when it eventually releases as well.
While you are here, make sure to check out the requirements for some other upcoming titles like Salt and Sacrifice, Hard West 2, and Warhammer 2 Chaos Gate.
