Halls of Torment is a horde survival rogue-lite from Chasing Carrots. The title is basically a combination of Vampire Survivors and the first Diablo, and it’s a whole lot of fun. The game is currently in early access so it’s missing some features, and there are bound to be technical problems and limitations. If you want to fix the Halls of Torment ultrawide issues, here is how you can do that.
Fixing Halls of Torment Ultrawide Issues on PC
While Halls of Torment runs on ultrawide resolutions, there are black bars on the side during gameplay. This lack of ultrawide support can be a bit annoying for users, and to address that, Rose from the widescreen community have already released a fix for the problem.
- Head over to the following GitHub link
- Scroll down a bit, and download the latest zip of the patch (229 KB) under Assets by clicking. As of writing, it is version 1.0
- This will download the zip file, which you need to extract using a compression tool like Winrar or 7zip
- Extract the file into the game’s installation location
That’s all you need to do to install this patch. The next time you launch Halls of Torment it will run properly in ultrawide resolution without black bars at the sides. Here is how the game looks with the patch applied.
We hope that the developers add official support as well, which could likely be a goal in their early access development plan.
