In a recent tweet, Naoki Yoshida better known as Yoshi-P by fans has confirmed that the Final Fantasy XVI PC Port is under development and also took the opportunity to announce two paid DLC for the game are also in development. Details on the DLC and the PC version are scarce but we will get more details later in the year.
Final Fantasy XVI PC Port – An Eikonic Announcement
In an announcement made on Twitter/X, the producer of the title has given us two pieces of crucial news, you can skip to 2:40 in the tweet to see the announcement.
Firstly, the game will get two pieces of paid DLC, and while not giving away too many details, Yoshi-P has confirmed that the story of Valisthea will continue in the DLC, but we do not know further details on the content, release date, or other information regarding the content.
Secondly, a PC version is now officially in development, and while unable to share a release date, they also confirmed that more details will be shared later this year, specifically, before the end of the year so that we will not have to wait till 2024 for more news on the port.
This is all great news, and fans will be able to experience the newest entry on PC with a lot of new bells and whistles, similar to what Final Fantasy 7 Remake got with its port.
