Alan Wake 2 is out now on PC through the Epic Games Store. It’s one of the most technically impressive games of the year, and Remedy Entertainment continues to push visuals on PC and consoles. While the Epic Games Store supports cloud saves, if you want to back up your data locally, here is the Alan Wake 2 save file location on PC.
Alan Wake 2 Save File Location
C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Remedy\AlanWake2
The location above will take you to your local save files. Make sure to back up the entire AlanWake2 folder just in case.
Faster Navigation
To quickly navigate to this location, I recommend using Windows Run.
- Open Windows Run by either pressing the Windows + R keys together or by searching for it in Windows Search
- Enter the following address, and press OK
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Remedy\AlanWake2
This will take you to the same location as above. Remedy Entertainment’s previous titles allowed you to back up their saves as well, including Alan Wake Remastered, and Control.
Enable Cloud Saves in Epic Games Launcher
Either way, I highly recommend that you have cloud saves enabled in the Epic Games Launcher. This can be done by checking it under Preferences in the settings.
While you’re here, if you want to improve the PC experience of Alan Wake 2, you can disable the vignette and depth of field settings following my guides.
We hope this guide was helpful and you were able to access the local saves for Alan Wake 2. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
