Alone in the Dark: How to Solve The Cellar Puzzle
After completing the medicine bottles puzzle, you will have to go back to the Stair Hall and enter the cellar. Instead of going to the boiler room, go to the Food Cellar and use the Cellar Key to unlock the door.
Pick up the lever to the right and add it to the circuit box opposite the inaccessible, electrified area. Use the lever to turn off the electricity and walk past the water. Here, you can pick up a valve that will be used to turn off the boiler steam.
Return to the Boiler Room and use the valve to turn off the steam and progress further. You will find a room where a clerk is found sitting on the floor.
Talk to the clerk and you’ll trigger an anomaly that will produce a disc fragment on the floor. Grab the fragment and return to the boiler. Insert the disc from this puzzle and the medicine bottles puzzle to complete the Cellar puzzle.
Doing so will reveal a number that you’ll have to insert on the talisman disc on the boiler (9-7-5). You can now progress to the cemetery and continue the game.
