With Persona 5 Royal headed to the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch later this year, fans were eagerly waiting for news of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable release date from Atlus, and it seems we have finally gotten our answer. The official Atlus Twitter account has just tweeted out the release date for both games.

Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable Release Date

These are two video games that have seen releases on previous console generations, such as the PlayStation 2, but were not available for modern platforms. Earlier this year, Atlus announced that they would be bringing Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable to all modern consoles; PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch with Persona 5 being the only title with a release date.

However, Atlus has just given us a very early release date for Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, right at the start of 2023.

Just to clear up any confusion – despite what the image says, the two games will also release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on January 19th, 2023 too, but the two titles will also be free for PC and Xbox console owners if you own Game Pass.

These titles have been significantly reworked for modern consoles, particularly Persona 4 and Persona 3 due to the age of both games. They will have quality-of-life improvements for better gameplay, and also feature improved visuals and audio to complete the experience.
