The M4A4 is one of the two primary rifles you can use when on the CT side. It’s a solid weapon and one of the few in the game that can rival the AK-47. This is why most players like getting a skin for the M4A4 because of how often it gets used.
There are a lot of M4A4 skins to choose from. This leaves you with a very tough decision to make. Luckily, I’m here to help out. Here are my picks for the best M4A4 skins in 2023. However, if you use the M4A1-S counterpart be sure to check these skins.
The Emperor
Date released: March 13, 2019
Price range: $8.00 – $390.00
Case: Prisma Case
The top spot on my list of the best M4A4 skins belongs to The Emperor Skin. It’s a ranking that fits the name of the skin itself. It’s a skin that’s inspired by the Emperor tarot card and has a matching Empress skin created for the AK-47.
The skin features a majestic dark blue body with a glorious golden shine over the image of an emperor in the middle. The aesthetic is completed by various flags, shapes, and the number four in Roman numerals (IV). It’s a skin worthy of the top spot and also has a StatTrak™ variant that costs more than twice the base price.
龍王 Dragon King
Date released: January 8, 2015
Price range: $5.00 – $57.00
Case: Chroma Case
My runner-up is the 龍王 Dragon King. The Dragon King features blue, red, white, and purple as its main colors. It also features an image of a red Chinese dragon right at the center of the weapon.
The main body shows off bold blue, red, and white colors. However, the buttstock is in a solid purple shade, with the back part in bright red. This definitely gives some separation from the different colors on the weapon. It’s a pretty cheap skin, with a StatTrak™ variant that costs just around double the base price.
Howl
Date released: May 1, 2014
Price range: $3,200 – $20,500
Case: N/A
Next up, we have one of the most expensive CS:GO skins in the world. The M4A4 Howl is one of the rarest M4A4 skins because it can’t be found in any cases anymore. It features a red and black theme, making it a great addition to any inventory collection.
There’s also a howling wolf front and center of the weapon. There are also various red and black flame decals to complete the look. The M4A4 Howl also has a StatTrak™ variant, but it definitely isn’t for the faint of heart because it can set you back by up to $20,000.
In Living Color
Date released: May 3, 2021
Price range: $4.50 – $117.00
Case: Snakebite Case
If you’re looking to add color to your inventory, there’s no better choice than the In Living Color M4A4 skin. As the name suggests, it’s covered in beautiful neon colors and features a purple-haired girl wearing a mask in the middle.
The predominant colors found on the skin include red, green, cyan, purple, and yellow. The aesthetic is then completed using a variety of stickers, images, and decals, all inspired by street art. The StatTrak™ variant should set you back a bit more than double the base price.
Tooth Fairy
Date released: August 6, 2020
Price range: $3.00 – $25.00
Case: Fracture case
Ever wondered if fairy tales really exist? The Tooth Fairy M4A4 skin reimagines the iconic Tooth Fairy in a grim, almost nightmare-ish look. The Tooth Fairy is depicted with a skeletal body completed with a creepy grin while collecting a tooth.
Dark shades of red, green, beige, and black are the primary colors of the skin. It also features various writings such as “Don’t Sleep!”, the teeth she has collected, and a flurry of pixies flying around. The StatTrak™ variants are nearly triple the skin’s base price.
Poseidon
Date released: May 26, 2015
Price range: $870.00 – $1,355.00
Case: N/A
Poseidon is another quite expensive CS:GO weapon skin for the M4A4. It’s a rare skin that can’t be found in any case and is only obtainable as a part of The Gods and Monsters collection. It features Poseidon using his legendary trident to fight off two sea monsters.
As you might expect, the skin has a sea theme, reflected by the blue-green colors and the bubbles on the skin. You can also see a spear surrounded by air bubbles moving through the sea near the handguard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any StatTrak™ variants.
Neo-Noir
Date released: February 14, 2018
Price range: $3.50 – $93.00
Case: Clutch Case
The Neo-Noir M4A4 features a grayscale background with magenta, blue, and black finishes. The skin is heavily inspired by the neo-noir style typically used in comics or movies where there is little to no color.
At the center of the weapon, you’ll find a pink, purple, and blue colored girl with her fists up and a katana on her back. The overall look is complemented by various patterns and decals with a similar colorway. There are also additional StatTrak™ variants for the skin, but they cost nearly three times the base price.
Spider Lily
Date released: September 21, 2021
Price range: $1.30 – $41.00
Case: Operation Riptide Case
Next up, we have an M4A4 skin for players on a budget. The Spider Lily skin features a dark blue base coating covered with attention-grabbing red spider lilies. These flowers are the epitome of “beautiful but deadly.”
You can also see an abstract pattern available throughout the weapon. It’s definitely a beautiful skin, but the plain magazine and handle feel a bit off. The Statrak is a bit more expensive, though, coming in at more than triple the base price. Overall, it’s still a very cheap M4A4 skin that still slaps.
Desolate Space
Date released: June 15, 2016
Price range: $4.00 – $77.00
Case: Gamma Case
The M4A4 Desolate Space skin features a grim, and on some levels creepy, astronaut lost in space. At this point, his skull is the only thing left of his body. You can also see a giant space monster of sorts, with its tentacles wrapped around the astronaut and on a flying rocket.
The background of the skin features a darker shade of purple. However, most of the accents are in a lighter shade. You can also see an electric ray of sorts near the buttstock. The StatTrak™ variants of the skin are quite expensive at a little over three times the base price.
Evil Daimyo
Date released: May 26, 2015
Price range: $1.50 – $16.00
Case: Falchion Case
The final spot on our list of the best CS:GO M4A4 skins belongs to Evil Daimyo. The Evil Daimyo is perfect for players looking for a simple and sleek-looking skin. It features a black and red theme with additional shades of gray. The skin is then topped off with a variety of patterns, shapes, and icons.
The Evil Daimyo is the cheapest M4A4 skin on our list, allowing you to spend your money on other more useful things like a gaming mouse or a better keyboard. The StatTrak™ variants are a little more expensive, though, at around three times the base price. However, a StatTrak™ Factory New Evil Daimyo still only costs $15, which I think is still a solid deal.
Conclusion
The M4A4 Emperor tops our list of the best CS:GO M4A4 skins because of its stunning finish, glorious look, and insane popularity. Unfortunately, it can be quite expensive. So make sure to check out the other M4A4 skins on our list to find one that fits your budget and your taste.
