Age of Wonders 4 is an upcoming 4X strategy game from Triumph Studios and Paradox Interactive. It has been over 9 years since the last entry in the series, and Paradox Interactive have unveiled the latest entry, which explores new magical realms for players to explore, and lead their empires in. Like previous entries, Age of Wonders 4 will blend 4X and RPG gameplay elements with tactical turn-based battles and branching narratives. To play the game on PC, you need the following specifications.

- Storage: 20 GB available space
- Additional Notes: 1080p (30FPS)

- Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10600K or AMD® Ryzen 5 5600X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia® GeForce™ RTX 2060 Super (6GB) or AMD® Radeon™ RX 5700 XT (8GB)
- Storage: >20 GB available space
- Additional Notes: 1080p (60FPS)
It’s nice to see more requirements that mention targeted performance now. If you’re looking to play Age of Wonders 4 with high settings at 1080p and get 60 FPS, you need something like an RTX 2060 Super, with 6 GB of VRAM paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X. Considering this is a strategy title, similar to recent Paradox Interactive titles, this seems quite fitting.
There is usually a lot going on during most gameplay instances with a lot of moving parts, so a strong CPU is certainly required if you wish to main a higher framerate. If you’re okay with turning down a few settings and can play at 30 FPS, even a GTX 780 with just 3 GB of VRAM is enough.
You also need over 20 GB of free space to install the title, and 16 GB of RAM is recommended.
