Alan Wake 2 is among the ranks of Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. Two highly anticipated games have only shown off CGI trailers thus far with no supplemental gameplay or further details. However, the titular characters’ voice actor may have accidentally stated that the game could be due for a release in October.
Alan Wake 2 Coming In October?
Alan Wake’s voice actor, Matthew Porretta, during a podcast, may have accidentally slipped out the release date for Alan Wake 2. While Remedy has still held radio silence on Alan Wake gameplay or other details, except that Alan Wake 2 will release in 2023.
October 2023 would be our best bet for the game to come out, and this won’t be the first time a voice actor lets the cat out of the bag on the release date of a title, as we witnessed a similar incident earlier this year with Venom’s voice actor for Spider-Man 2. This is all just rumor for now, but a direct response from the games voice actor himself does tend to add a lot of credibility.
With an October 2023 release date, this could mean that marketing and promotion could be prominent at the upcoming Summer Games Festival, which is the opportune time to announce the release.
