Backpack Battles has quietly taken the auto-battler scene by storm, and it’s one of the best smaller releases of the year so far. It runs great on PC and the Steam Deck, but given this is an early access release, there are some technical issues. For instance, data corruption can occur, so it’s a good idea to create a backup of your progress by accessing the Backpack Battles save file location.
Backpack Battles Save File Location
You can find the Backpack Battles save files at the following address on PC.
C:/Users/[YOUR USERNAME]/AppData/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/Backpack Battles/{64BitSteamID}/full
The full folder contains the backpack.save file, but I recommend backing up the entire folder, just in case.
Faster Navigation
To quickly navigate to this location, I recommend using Windows Run.
- Open Windows Run by either pressing the Windows + R keys together or by searching for it in Windows Search
- Enter the following address, and press OK
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/Backpack Battles
Either way, I still highly recommend that you enable Steam Cloud for Backpack Battles. The save files aren’t that large, and it’s a reliable way to ensure progress isn’t lost.
We hope this guide was helpful and you were able to access the local saves for Backpack Battles. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
