We have been talking about Battlefield non-stop and it doesn’t look like the hype train comes with any breaks. Yesterday we mentioned how music artist 2WEI announced that two video game trailers featuring their soundtrack would drop later this week, with one of the trailers speculated to be Battlefield. Now the official Battlefield account has just dropped a surprise tweet that could mean we will see at EA Play in June.
Battlefield Twitter account could have confirmed EA Play reveal
The official Battlefield Twitter account may have just confirmed that there might not be a trailer this week, or potentially we will hear all about the game in June.
June is the most pivotal month in gaming, it is going to be the month where E3 2021 takes place and other companies like Sony and EA will do their own shows for revealing their video game titles coming in 2021 and beyond.
So far the only thing we do know about the latest Battlefield installment is that it will take a step away from the World War setting and take place in the modern day like Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline.
We know this from a couple of leaked screenshots that surfaced, which do look very authentic and have even been backed by Tom Henderson.
Many fans are expecting a reveal trailer to drop this month, followed by a full-blown reveal to take place in June at an online EA play session. This is where EA will talk about the platforms the game will come on, the setting, and all the other details fans would be interested like the size of the servers.
EA has not released a new Battlefield title since 2018 with the release of Battlefield V. This does mean we are long overdue for a new entry, especially since Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V’s player base on consoles and PC is full of dedicated players who are too high a skill gap against new players.
For now, the week has just started and we do have a good few days to see if 2WEI and Tom are right about the trailer, or will we have to wait for June to get into all the action.
