Gorou’s Elemental Skill
Gorou‘s main role in a party is to buff your Geo carries. He can be played optimally even without the best artifacts; he’s the best Geo support to build that won’t leave you Mora-less. His Elemental Skill: Inazuka All-Round Defense depends not on his stats but mostly on his talent level.
Once activated, Gorou releases a banner that deals AoE Geo DMG. The flag provides different buffs to your team depending on the number of Geo characters present. One Geo character equals a DEF Bonus, two Geo characters mean increased interruption resistance, and three Geo characters equal Geo DMG Bonus.
The ability’s placement can be positioned on the field by holding down the Elemental Skill button. The banner is not a Geo construct and generates two Geo particles. A cute paw above Gorou‘s head will indicate how many buffs are activated.
Gorou’s Elemental Burst
Next, Gorou‘s Elemental Burst Juuga: Forward Unto Victory provides the same multiple buffs to your team as his Elemental Skill. Activated, it deals AoE Geo DMG and creates a field called General’s Glory. Gorou‘s Burst follows the character around in the form of a cute floating puppy. In addition, his Burst pulls a crystalized shard to your character every 1.5 seconds.
It’s worth mentioning that Gorou‘s playstyle changes the more constellations he has, mainly his fourth and sixth ones. His fourth constellation allows you to play Gorou as a healer, while his sixth constellation increases the CRIT DMG of all nearby party members’ GEO DMG. This buff will greatly change the DMG of your Geo carries as it lasts for a whopping 12 seconds.
Gorou’s Best Team Rotations
The optimal rotation for a Gorou team composition typically goes like this:
- Use Gorou‘s Elemental Skill (E) and switch to Geo carry.
- Save up enough Energy to activate Gorou‘s Elemental Burst (Q).
- Switch back to Gorou and activate his Elemental Burst to give Geo carries buffs.
- Repeat.

The main stats to get are an Energy Recharge or DEF% Sands, DEF% Goblet, and a CRIT Rate Circlet to proc the Favonius Warbow passive. You’ll need at least a 50% CRIT Rate to proc the passive.
If you have a C4 Gorou, you can run a DEF Sands. Other than that, go for an ER Sands. Gorou needs around 180 to 200 plus ER to be played efficiently. If you already have enough CRIT Rate gained from the other pieces’ substats, you can opt for a DEF% Circlet to focus on Gorou‘s healing.
