Among the plethora of Dex weapons, Elden Ring’s Twinblades are mostly overlooked. The high skill ceiling required to unlock their decimating power and erratic attacks that often miss have players shying away from the weapon class. Yet, the best Twinblades are quite striking and fit an excellent niche for building quick status effects, especially when dual wielding.

As of now, the base game only features 6 Twinblades. However, as seen with past entries, the upcoming DLC might bring new and better additions to the roster. For now, make do with the following, and this list will help you find the perfect Twinblade that might just be up your alley in Elden Ring. With that said, here are all of them, ranked.

1

Eleonora’s Poleblade

Eleonora's Poleblade
  • Requirements: 12 Strength, 21 Dexterity, 19 Arcane
  • Base Scaling: Strength E, Dexterity D, Arcane D
  • Weapon Skill: Bloodblade Dance
  • Twinblade Location: Slay Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger in the Second Church of Marika in Altus Plateau

Passed down to us from its namesake Bloody Finger found in the Second Church of Marika, Eleonora’s Poleblade has reigned supreme ever since Elden Ring hit the shelves. Should players peek into this Twinblade’s lore, they’ll come to know it’s actually fashioned from two Naginatas glued together, meaning it’s going to be an amazing one.

The blood soaked weapon has some impressive effects. For starters, it does split damage between Physical and Fire, but the bells and whistles are the inherent bleed passive and unique Ash of War: Bloodblade Dance. This means that the weapon primarily scales off of Arcane. So, ensure cranking up this stat to make the most of this weapon.

As the brutal Weapon Skill suggests, you lash out at enemies in a flurry of quick tornado-like slashes followed by an evasive maneuver. Melting bosses like Malenia in Elden Ring has never been easier before, making it one of the best Bleed weapons!

In addition, Eleonora’s Poleblade has the best stagger potential. You’re bound to poise-break foes thanks to the speedy attacks, leaving no counter windows. The only downside is it’s only available when you’ve pressed further down into the Altus Plateau.

2

Godskin Peeler

Godskin Peeler
  • Requirements: 17 Strength, 22 Dexterity
  • Base Scaling: Strength E, Dexterity C
  • Weapon Skill: Black Flame Tornado
  • Twinblade Location: Defeat the Godskin Noble in Windmill Village, Altus Plateau

It’s no surprise that the Twinblades are some of the best looking weapons, and the Godskin Peeler you acquire from besting the dreaded Godskin Noble in Windmill Village is a testament to that. With a Sickle tied to one of its ends, this weapon has a quirky two-handed moveset, granting it extended reach, which is one of the lacking features of its brethren.

While that’s certainly impressive, the Godskin Peeler shines best in a dual-wield setup, preferably with Eleonara’s Poleblade. Luckily, you can further add to the Twinblade’s strength if you use it with the Seppuku Weapon Skill and Occult Affinity. Bleed is still feared in the Lands Between, and Arcane melee builds employing such Twinblades remain the best ways to trigger it.

3

Gargoyle’s Twinblade

Gargoyle's Twinblade
  • Requirements: 18 Strength, 15 Dexterity
  • Base Scaling: Strength C, Dexterity E
  • Weapon Skill: Spinning Slash
  • Twinblade Location: Valiant Gargoyles duo boss in Siofra River

With a thumping base power of 123, the Gargoyle’s Twinblade scales off massively from Strength, making it the best Twinblade in Elden Ring for Strength builds. If you’ve gotten sick from the offputting DPS of your chunky weapons, look no further than this. You’ll get it after beating the Valiant Gargoyles in Siofra River, which is easier said than done, as this boss fight is an actual test of patience.

Nevertheless, getting used to the gooey bit on the blade will also take some time, but once you get past it, you’ll discover some of its standout points. As a strength-based Twinblade, it hits like a truck, without sacrificing the Twinblade’s speed.

Plus, it is also one of the most versatile weapons in the lot. It works incredibly well with almost all Affinities, eclipsing even the best contenders in the list. The short range and heavy weight, which can lead to fat rolling, really hurts its ranking.

4

Twinned Knight Swords

Twinned Knight Swords
  • Requirements: 16 Strength, 18 Dexterity
  • Base Scaling: Strength D, Dexterity E
  • Weapon Skill: Spinning Slash
  • Twinblade Location: Sits on a charred corpse pile in East Windmill Pastures, Altus Plateau

Some Elden Ring players love to dabble both in Dexterity and Strength, and the Twinned Knight Swords is the only Twinblade offering the best of both worlds. This Quality weapon lies on a blazing pile of corpses in the nearby East Windmill Pastures of the Altus Plateau.

In essence, the Twinned Knight Swords is a beefed-up standard Twinblade that weighs more. The thing you’ll love about it is the reach, the longest of any Twinblades. This is quite apparent when you stack them up against one another. And who doesn’t love them some good infusible weapon, which the Twinned Knight Swords let you customize to your needs.

5

Twinblade

Twinblade
  • Requirements: 10 Strength, 18 Dexterity
  • Base Scaling: Strength D, Dexterity D
  • Weapon Skill: Spinning Slash
  • Twinblade Location: Chest in Dragon-Burnt Ruins, Limgrave

The only problem with Twinblades is that the best ones aren’t up for grabs until you’re ways into the game. What’s more, there’s only one per playthrough, which is quite a letdown for players wanting to use them in pairs. Well, they’ll have to suffice with the standard Twinblade for a big portion of the game unless they somehow sneak into the Altus Plateau.

Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but the lack of dual-wielding it early leaves Dex players seeking better options, like the Uchigatana. You might still find certain success in your early endeavors as you can infuse it with a variety of Ashes of Wars. The damage, however, will really start to fall off later on as it has the worst damage scaling.

6

Gargoyle’s Black Blades

Gargoyle's Black Blades
  • Requirements: 18 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 22 Arcane
  • Base Scaling: Strength C, Dexterity E, Faith D
  • Weapon Skill: Spinning Slash
  • Twinblade Location: Slay the Black Blade Kindred near the Grand Lift of Rold

Aside from the very high base damage split between Holy, the Gargoyle’s Black Blades got the stick’s shorter end. This weapon is a boss drop from the Black Blade Kindred, blocking your path into the Mountain Tops of the Giants – an endgame zone.

It’s much like the Gargoyle’s Twinblades, but only that it trades up the weapon’s versatility for Holy damage. It’s a real bummer to realize that the damage type won’t do you any good against the bosses that follow, making it a better pick for a New Game Plus run. However, the low stat requirement should offset some of the annoying features of the Gargoyle’s Black Blades.

Final Thoughts

That’s all for the best Twinblades in Elden Ring. While some are clearly better picks than others, we recommend giving every weapon mentioned here a go. It’s well worth the effort; that way, you’ll find the perfect Twinblade to suit your specific needs.
