It’s ironic how the phrase S.S.D.D is now more relevant than ever before. Yesterday, Activision let out a frenzy of a stream with other Call of Duty content creators to show off Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, a new mode within Warzone 2.0. Fan’s excitement escalated after the reveal, and the fact that fas can pre-load the title 2 days before the launch was an exciting prospect, but the revelation of the Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 File Size is just frustrating at this point.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 File Size – No space for you
Call of Duty Warzone was known to be a MAJOR invader of hard drive storage space on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Easily taking over 100GB of space for just the battle royale, making it one of the largest (in terms of local storage) in the genre, second only to Apex which clocked in at 80 GB.
Many fans thought that by now, Activision will learn its lesson and try to be more modest with the sizes of games, particularly since storage solutions for the current generation consoles are not on the level yet of the predecessors.
Unfortunately, according to the resident Microsoft Store leaker, Aggiornamenti Lumia, Warzone 2.0 is still a massive commitment.
According to the Microsoft Store data hunter, the video game is going to be a whopping 115.62GB in Size. Modern Warfare 2 currently on PS5 takes over 100 GB, and if you want to run both games, you will have to surrender approximately 33% of your local storage (Xbox Series or PS5) to a single game that is just split in two.
Fans will be able to pre-load this behemoth-sized title on November 14th, and be able to play the game when it launches on November 16th, however, despite the massive size of the title, this will still amass a large following.
