Dying Light 2 Stay Human was just trademarked. Whatever it is, seems to belong to the party that holds all other properties related to Dying Light’s trademark so it is not a hoax. What exactly the trademark is will be a mystery until we hear from the developer and publisher – Techland.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human – The new title? or potential DLC
Dying Light 2 is a game that has been shrouded in mystery and intrigue. It is amongst the ranks of Dead Island 2, Bayonetta 3, and many other games that were announced too early, but disappeared into mystery.
While the developer did recently speak about the game and did say
The update shows snippets of new gameplay, and the last bit of the gameplay is particularly interesting where the protagonist is holding their arm in pain. Perhaps the new trademark applies to a yet to be introduced mechanic in the game?
The update video only states 2021, and whether or not we will see the game release this year is still a burning question, but it might be answered at this years upcoming E3 conference.
The only other potential of the trademark could be a mechanic in the game similar to Dead Rising 2 where players must gather Zombrex to stop the protagonist’s daughter from turning into a zombie.
Whether this could translate to being a dedicated difficulty in the game, a DLC, or something else, is once again a question that only time can answer.
It is understandable that the pandemic has had its fair share of contributions to the game getting further delayed and Techland choosing to stay silent over the progress, but fans are now hoping that the studio won’t follow the same route as CD Projekt Red and underdeliver a long-promised game with bugs and problems galore.
For now, we are all eager to hear more good news about Dying Light 2. The first game became a cult classic among fans and a sequel has been greatly anticipated since then.
