We had a lot of fun with the few hours we got to play of The First Descendant, and you can check out our preview for all the details of the upcoming free-to-play shooter from Nexon. If you’re looking to try it out yourself and spend some time with crossplay enabled across all platforms, you can now register for the First Descendant open beta, and here is how.

The First Descendant Crossplay Open Beta

You can register for the First Descendant crossplay open beta by visiting the following link. Here, choose the platform of your choice (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox), and enter your email address.

If you want to play on Steam, click on the Request Access button on the Steam page. If you participated in the 2022 Steam beta test, you’ll have automatic access to this open beta.

Open Beta Schedule

The Open Beta runs from 19th September 2023 (00:00 PDT) to 25th September 2023 (23:59 PDT).

Supported Platforms

The open beta will be available on PC through Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, and PS5.

As mentioned earlier, this open beta supports crossplay, and you’ll have to link your Steam game information with the Nexon ID to connect with Xbox and PlayStation players. You can read more on the FAQ page here.

Crossplay Open Beta Rewards

There are three types of rewards you’ll be able to earn during this open beta.

Sign Up Rewards

  • Those who pre-registered through the official homepage will be provided Trial Vouchers to try out the 3 Full Body Skins for the first 3 basic Descendants during the Crossplay Open Beta period.

Participation Rewards

  • All participants in the test will receive a Limited Edition Emote upon launch.

Achievement Rewards

  • Those who reach Descendant Level 20 will be given the Backpack Decoration Item below upon launch.
