AEW: Fight Forever is out now on PC, and we had a lot of fun with it, despite some quibbles. It’s a fun arcade title and has a solid base that can be substantially improved with updates. While it runs quite well, there are a few technical problems that players have reported. If you’re getting errors related to DirectX 12, you might want to enable the AEW Fight Forever DirectX 11 mode, and here’s how.
Enable AEW Fight Forever DirectX 11 Mode
Even though the game runs in DirectX 12 mode by default, you can actually switch the API using a simple launch command in Steam. To do this, follow the steps below.
- Make sure the game isn’t running
- Open Steam and navigate to your library
- Right-click on AEW: Fight Forever in your library
- Click Properties
- In the General tab, under LAUNCH OPTIONS, enter the following command
-dx11
Now, launch the game again, and instead of DirectX 12, AEW: Fight Forever will run in DirectX 11 mode. We hope that these errors are fixed in upcoming updates.
